Hilltop Photo-Op: Mole Day!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23RD — Today, scientists around the world celebrated “Mole Day,” commemorating Amedeo Avagadro’s famous number 6.022 x 10²³, also known as 1 mole. A mole is a basic unit of measurement in chemistry the holiday was created to foster greater interest in chemical sciences. Mole Day happens every year on 10/23, which corresponds to the exponent of Avagadro’s number. To participate in the festivities, members of the SLS Honors Physical Chemistry class each donned a digit of the number. To learn more about Mole Day, go to http://www.moleday.org/.
