Meet the New Assistant Squash Coach: Mac Pivirotto

This year, the SLS squash team welcomes the newest addition to its coaching staff. We interviewed the new assistant coach, Mac Pivirotto ‘11. He gave some insight on how the boys and girls squash team is looking for this season and shared more about himself.

 

How old are you?

23 years old.

What other sports did you play at St. Luke’s?

I played football, squash, and golf.

What position did you play on the football team?

I played Quarterback.

What was your team’s record when you played QB?

We won FAA’s.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Uh – I like to do outdoor activities, like skiing, hiking, and turning up – more of on the weekends

Why did you decide to come back and coach squash?

I have a little lull before my job starts so I figured I would come back and help the team because I love St. Luke’s!

What’s your job?

I’m working sales at a tech company in New York City.

How long are you going to be here?

I’m going to be here till February.

When did you go to St. Luke’s?

I went to St. Luke’s from 2006-2011, eighth grade to senior year.

Why did you decide to come to St. Luke’s?

We moved from Chicago and it seemed like the best fit for sports and academics.

How does the St. Luke’s Squash team look this year?

There are a lot of young talents on the team, in the next few years we’ll be very hard to beat. This year I think is a little bit of a year for development.

What’s your favorite movie?

It’s got to be Forrest Gump, Forrest without a doubt. I can quote like half the movie…

What is your favorite food?

Chicken parm is probably my favorite food. Does that count?

Do you have any siblings?

I have a sister that went to St. Luke’s and is now at Hamilton.

Where did you go to college?

I went to Hamilton College.
