Storm Seeks to Avenge Loss Against Wick

The basketball rivalry between Brunswick and St. Luke’s has always been something that students look forward to each year. The competitive atmosphere surrounds the Brunswick Blackout is unmatched throughout the FAA. Regardless of the Storms’ struggling record this year, the fans seem to be unphased and continue to support the team whenever possible.

This Friday will be no different. SLS fans will proudly fill the stands and yell their hearts out until the final buzzer sounds. The last time these two teams met, the Storm played tough for as long as they could until the gap in score became too much to overcome. This Friday, the Storm is looking to split the regular season series with the Bruins by winning in Greenwich for the first time in years. Last year the Storm played Brunswick 3 times and posted a 2-1 record against them, winning twice at home, including once in the FAA semi-final game.

Accompanying the Storm to the game will be a fan bus filled with members of the St. Luke’s Sixth Man ready to cheer on the Boys’ Basketball Teams. The JV Boys team will also be playing, their game starting at 4. Tip-off for the Varsity game is at 6 pm. All students are encouraged to come to the game, wearing their shirts in order to support both teams.
